Science Projects
I graduated as a control engineer and followed this with a PhD in system
identification. My research interests include remote sensing, inductive
modelling of dynamic systems, signal processing and machine learning.
Currently I am working on remote sensing of biomass using satellite
interferometry. This work includes the use of environmental models to
account for variable conditions that apply for each acquisition. High
resolution maps of mainland Britain's biomass parameters are currently
under production. Parameters such as forest age structure will be
combined with information gained from flux tower measurements to produce
NEE estimates for the UK plantation forests.
